PlayStation Network users have long been aware of one simple fact: Unless you are happy to lose all of your purchases and trophies, you do not have the option to rename your PSN ID.
It seems strange to expect that no-one would ever want to change their online handle. After nearly 6 years, it is entirely likely that many people will have become bored of their chosen names, or feel that they are no longer relevant to them. This is indeed the case, and more than 12,000 users have voted on PlayStation.Blog.Share for the option to change their PSN IDs. However, Sony is not yet listening, so i would urge all users to vote and give everyone an option that should have been available since the launch of the PlayStation 3.
